I had high hopes for Steve Sampson after disappointment from a number of gardeners. Started out good - until sprinklers were repeatedly damaged. The guy Sampson had doing our yard kept destroying sprinkler heads, resulting in improper spraying. At first, not a big deal... a few heads, $5 or $6 worth from Lowe's and a notification to Sampson. He emailed that he would let his guy know to be careful. Then, BLAM, found a sprinkler had blown sky high and made a huge mess. It had been mangled by a piece of equipment. Again, we let Sampson know via email, along with our concern that the rye planted in October didn't look too green. He didn't say much about the sprinkler (that cost me another $5 or so) but said to increase watering to green things up.

Then I noticed weeds coming in at a strip he had filled in with some fill dirt (doesn't take a genius to realize he didn't use clean dirt) and the head was broken off of a small turtle statuary. My wife emailed him that we would be deducting the cost of the statuary from the next bill.

Sampson emailed back that he had stopped by and all our sprinkler heads looked old, any weeds were from before and not his responsibility, and that he would be terminating service with us because we "complain too much".

Well, sorry to inconvenience you, Mr. Sampson, with silly concerns of property destruction. You think we're damaging our own things to revel in the inconvenience and cost of replacing them ourselves?

I cannot recommend Sampson Landscape. I'm extremely disappointed with Steve Sampson. Again, I had high hopes but he turned out to be the worst we've had. Beware and stay away...
