Great Sushi

As a personal injury lawyer, there is nothing better than dealing with a hard day's stress, than some hot saki and great sushi.

I am a so-so fan of Sushi, but I sometimes like going to Sushi Kato. Some of their rolls are very interesting. The atmosphere is average, nothing fancy. Never had their teppan grill. Mostly just their lunch sushi. Mr. Kato knows a lot about fish, so that is always a plus.

My family and I LOVE Sushi Kato.  Kato is a great guy and really knows his sushi!  We go there often and we take full advantage of the 50% off happy hour. When you go there, have Kato make a sushi roll of his choice and name it after your family, like we did.  It's fun to go in and order our very own roll!

Sushi Kato is only decent because of their happy hour prices. 50% off is a very attractive discount. Its the only reason I go there. The atmosphere is so-so. I tried their sashimi once. It wasn't fresh, so I never tried it again here. However, Mr. Kato does serve up some good non-sashimi rolls. Mr. & Mrs. Kato really needs to invest money to create an appeal inside the restaurant though. Also, the waitresses need to work on their service skills. Everytime I go there, its poor to average service.

The sushi is great and as fresh as you will find at Tokyo Gardens or Miyoshi's. The atmosphere is pretty bland though. They need to invest a little in new decorations, tables and seats. Prices are the highest in town for Japanese food.

If you are "experienced" sushi-eater and really a "picky" on quality and freshness of your fishes, Sushi Kato is the place to go in Bakersfield. Although their price is bit higher than other sushi restaurants, but it is certainly worth it!
